The Platypus offers both dorm rooms and private rooms. There is a shared kitchen with free coffee, a book exchange, and plenty of lounging space for hanging out with fellow travelers. Internet access is available in the office and wi-fi is available in the lounge if you bring your laptop.

The lounge has a fireplace and a stereo and guestbooks for sharing tips and adventures. Storage space, small lockboxes for valuables, and laundry services are available, and local telephone calls are free. The fridge is stocked with beer and water at reasonable prices. And when you're planning to move on, you can find whatever information you need for traveling the rest of Colombia.

The taxi fare from the airport is $ 17.000 (add $ 1.000 between 8pm and 6am).

We do take reservations without any deposits but kindly ask travellers interested in staying with us to change/cancel reservations in case of any changes in their plans.

HOUSE RULES

Checkout time is 12PM (noon)
No visitors are allowed in the rooms
Visitors have to leave the house by 11PM
Payment has to be made at least every 7 days
Always keep your room locked
Don't make any noise after 11PM
Turn off all the lights is you are the last one out of the room
If you expect a phone call, tell your party your room number
The kitchen is open from 7AM until 11PM
Wash your dishes and leave the kitchen clean
Eat only your food
Don't touch the coffee machine or the gas heaters
Anything broken or damaged has to be replaced
Let us know your departure date one day in advance
NO DRUGS ARE ALLOWED
The Colombian government strictly prohibits the exploitation and sexual abuse of minors
